How to Get Your Apple ID Password

If you've forgotten your Apple ID password, follow these methods to retrieve or reset it:

  • Use Apple's official password reset tool at iforgot.apple.com
  • Check if your password is saved in Keychain Access on your Mac
  • Look for password hints you may have set up previously
  • Check your email for any Apple communications containing password hints
  • Use two-factor authentication if enabled on your account
Security Note: Apple never stores passwords in plain text and cannot tell you your current password. You can only reset it to a new one.
